Nepal and China: A Historical Perspective By Niranjan Bhattarai
This book is about Nepal and China. Nepal, a small and distant country, has made significant contributions to the history of China. Buddhist doctrine was spread in China by active participation of Nepali scholars. Religious arts and architecture of China was significantly influenced since the tie of Kublai khan by a dynamic and prolific Nepali architect. Currently, the multidimensional relation between the close neighbors is growing rapidly. It explains in vivid detail the 2000 year old relationship and explains their current significance for insight gained from decades as an active observer of major events in contemporary China.
