Colin Smith is in his 80s and used to be a Nepal-based butterfly guide. He is so passionate about butterflies that Nepalis call him ‘Putali Baje’.
Colin Smith has dedicated More Than 45 years of his life to studying butterflies in Nepal.Over the years, Smith travelled across 40 districts of Nepal and collected 25,000 butterflies. Colin Philip Smith has published research papers and books, and his pictures of butterflies adorn calendars, postcards, and posters. his latest work is called ‘Butterflies of Nepal in Natural Environment’.
